Aoun: Certain party trying to hinder our work

The head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun stressed on Saturday, during his visit to Zahle’s Maronites diocese: “Although we have secured governmental majority, a certain party is trying to hinder our work”.

Aoun said that the Change and Reform bloc has a "heavy legacy", calling on citizens to raise their voice in order to have their demands met.
Aoun held a closed meeting at the Maronites diocese in Zahle with a number of the parish priests.

During his meeting with Zahle Greek Orthodox Bishop Esperidon Khoury, Aoun said that his visit is not only of political nature, but also aims at discussing the Christians’ fate.

When asked about the Syrian issue, Aoun noted that “the situation in Syria will be better and the Syrian regime will survive but will shift to democracy”.
