President Aoun marks Liberation Day
President Michel Aoun marked on Friday the Resistance and Liberation Day with a tweet.
“On the Day of Liberation ... greetings to those who were patient and stood fast, and defended and resisted, and to those who shed blood and irrigated Lebanon’s soil until the occupation is over,” he said in his tweet.
Liberation Day is a Lebanese holiday celebrated on May 25 marking the Israeli army’s withdrawal from territory in Southern Lebanon.
