Rai calls leaders to revoke naturalization decree

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai on Monday called on the Lebanese leaders to revoke the naturalization decree because it destabilizes the trust of the Lebanese people in them.

He also noted that the decree grant the Lebanese nationality to “suspicious names” that “dishonor” the Lebanese nationality.

On another note, he called on politicians to form the new government as soon as possible away from the personal interests.

As for the Syrian refugees dossier, he called the leaders to unify their efforts and work on their return to their homeland, calling on the International community to help them in rehabilitating their homes.
