Synod meeting concludes meeting in Bkerke

The Synod of the Maronite Church’s Bishops called on Saturday the Lebanese state to pay compensations for the damages incurred due to the floods in the region of Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa.

The Synod, which concluded its works in Bkerke, called for the swift formation of the new Cabinet away from the personal interests.

They also discussed the number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, urging the political leaders to unify stances regarding their return to their homeland.

The conferees also touched on the issue of the naturalization decree, calling on officials to amend it and to implement the decision of the Shura Council.
