Rai partakes in prayers for Middle East in Italy’s Bari

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai partook on Sunday with several heads of Eastern Churches in the ecumenical prayer for peace and cessation of wars and violence in the Middle East region.

The prayers were led by Pope Francis in the Italian city of Bari.

Prayers were raised in various languages in Bari’s waterfront, which was chosen by Pope Francis for its geographical location that overlooks the Middle East.
