Fugitive Ali Zeid Ismail was killed along with seven members of his group in a raid by the Lebanese Armed Forces in the town of al-Hammoudieh, in the district of Baalbek.
The army forces came under fire by the armed group affiliated by Ismail, forcing the LAF to respond to the sources of fire, killing 8 gunmen and arresting 41, including 6 injured; a statement by the army command stated.
The army also seized weapons and drugs from the house that had been inhabited by the group, and referred the seized items to the concerned authorities.
