MP Roukoz submits draft law for housing loans
“Strong Lebanon” bloc MP Chamel Roukoz asserted on Thursday that the “housing necessities” prompted us to submit a draft law to resolve the housing crisis.
 
Roukoz’s comments were made following a joint meeting of parliamentary committees whereby he said that he presented a draft law proposing that the government would subsidize each housing loan with 5%.
 
The housing loan crisis started last February after the Lebanese Central Bank stopped granting loans due to a lack of funds.
