Hariri meets Berri over new Cabinet formation

Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri asserted on Thursday that the problem hindering the new Cabinet formation is internal and related to the distribution of ministerial portfolios.

Hariri’s comments were made after visiting Speaker Nabih Berri whereby he voiced hopes that political leaders would put the country’s interests above their own.
“We are going through a hard regional and economic phase,” he added.

He concluded by saying that he will hold further meetings with different political sides, including Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Gebran Bassil.
