Lebanon received more than $11 billion from the International Community during Cedre Conference to fund the project to develop the infrastructure.
These billions were conditioned to reforms divided under three main headlines:
- Structural reforms related to national budget, means to improve environmental situation, private sector and investments
- Sectoral reforms including electricity and water
- Reforms related to governance or administrative reforms, including fighting corruption within the state's institutions and administrations
These reforms have led to a political agreement over holding a legislative session, which Speaker Nabih Berri will call for.
