MP Roukoz to LBCI: We hope that Hariri’s contacts would be fruitful

Strong Lebanon bloc MP Chamel Roukoz asserted on Thursday that each side is adamant on its stance regarding the Cabinet formation.

Roukoz’s comments were made during an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri is carrying out a series of contacts in this regard before visiting President Michel Aoun.

“We hope that these contacts would be fruitful,” he added.

Roukoz also noted that the relation between Aoun and Hariri is good, adding that the cabinet formation issue should be an “internal and sovereign matter.”

On another note, the MP stressed that President Aoun has the right to have ministers “that can be effective in the government.”
