A draft agreement, which is one of the minutes of the Taef Accord, revealed the mechanisms approved by the conference regarding the formation of the cabinet.
The document, which was uncovered by former MP Ghassan Mokheiber to LBCI, shows that two paragraphs from the articles related to the cabinet formation were eliminated.
The paragraphs were the one that compels the PM-designate to conduct the consultations of the formation within a period of four weeks, starting from the date of the designation; and the one that stressed that in case the formation decree were not issued within the set deadline, the parliament convenes without delay and upon the call of the speaker to elect a prime minister, who will form a government within two weeks.
