Pierre Daher to An-Nahar: I compete with Netflix
Chairman & CEO of the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International, LBCI Pierre Daher said on Saturday that his opponent is not an individual or corporation.
“My opponent is the huge technology revolution, Netflix and the ability to reach information with only one button away,” Daher said during an interview with An-Nahar.
“I compete with Netflix and I am in the middle of a competition coming from the internet world,” he added.
As for LBCI’s current situation, Daher asserted that the figures are excellent, adding that LBCI’s presence on digital media’s platforms exceeded expectations.
Answering a question about setting a fee for watching the content f LBCI’s website, Daher stressed that such step must have been taken three years ago.
