Energy Ministry, Siemens representative agree to corporate over electricity

Caretaker Minister of Energy Cesar Abi Khalil said on Monday that the meeting with the representative of Siemens Middle East was positive.

“We clarified all issues related to rumors about offers submitted to us,” Abi Khalil added during a televised press conference.

He also noted that they agreed to cooperate within the legal frameworks that are effective in Lebanon to develop the submitted ideas in order to reach final solutions.

For his part, Siemens’ representative said that the meeting was positive, refusing to reveal further details now.

He also said that he looks forward to cooperating with the Energy Ministry and the Lebanese state in order to build an effective energy system.
