EDL contractors close company’s payment offices, prevent employees from carrying out duties

A number of EDL contract workers and contractual bill collectors forcefully closed the company’s payment offices on Wednesday at the EDL branch in Cornish al-Naher. This prevented other employees from carrying out their duties.

A verbal clash soon erupted between the protesters and some of the company’s employees evolving into a fight.

Security Forces immediately interfered bringing the dispute to an end. Payment offices, however remain closed.
