President Aoun, Macron hold closed meeting

President Michel Aoun held a closed meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron Friday on the sidelines of the 17th Francophonie Summit in Yerevan.

Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Gebran Bassil later on joined the meeting.

During the talks, Aoun stressed that the formation of the new Cabinet is a pure Lebanese affair.

“I did not come to Armenia to discuss the Cabinet formation,” he added.

For his part, Macron voiced hopes that a new Cabinet would see the light soon.
