Walid Azar: SSNP subject to smear campaign

The Syrian Social Nationalist Party’s candidate for the Koura sub-elections, Walid Azar, announced on Thursday that his party is subject to a smear campaign, “which is a sign of weakness and ignorance”.

During a press conference at the residence of former MP Salim Saade in Amyoune, Saade confirmed that the SSNP is part of Koura’s “fabric” which enjoys sectarian diversity.

In turn, Saade called on Amyoune’s residents to ensure massive participation in sub-elections.

The head of the SSNP media department, for his part, explained that his party disagrees with the Lebanese Forces over the past and future, saying “we endorse the project of a single and strong state and we are against the project of mini-states”.
