Strategic Communications and Information officer at UNIFIL, Melanie Jansen stressed Tuesday in a statement on the issue of the cross-borders tunnels that the UNIFIL reviewed the media reports and is currently in contact with all the concerned parties in order to ensure the use of UNIFIL coordination mechanisms to maintain calm and stability.
She added that the situation appeared calm on the Lebanese side of the border where UN peacekeepers and Lebanese troops were deployed.
