Despite the Israeli disputes caused by the “Northern Shield” operation regarding its timing and necessity, the Israeli army intensified the excavation works to continue day and night and brought in equipment to the north to start excavations along the blue line.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu chose to raise his threats and incitements against Hezbollah, declaring that the operation will not be restricted to a specific timeline, but “will continue as long as necessary” and could last weeks.
According to the Netanyahu, these tunnels were dug within a plan by Hezbollah to occupy a part of Galilee, adding that the Shiite party has been coordinating with Iran.
Netanyahu threatened Hezbollah of paying a high price if it decides to attack Israel.
