Cabinet convenes at Baabda palace
The cabinet convened on Wednesday afternoon in an ordinary session at Baabda Palace, headed by President Michel Sleiman.      

The session is expected to tackle 61 items as well as other emergency items.   

During the session, Sleiman denounced violence taking place in several regions, especially the explosion that targeted Damascus this morning.

Prior to the cabinet session, President Sleiman met with PM Najib Mikati at Baabda Palace. Sleiman also met with Energy Minister Gebran Bassil.             

Finance minister Mohammad Safadi said expressed optimism towards the possibility of reaching a solution regarding the ranks and salaries scale.
