During their meetings held off the record, the deputies of the “Consultative Gathering” agreed to choose a candidate to represent them outside of the six of them, but they were divided over the equation that led to the naming of Jawad Adra.
They informed Maj. Gen. Abbas of their point of view, who in turn informed President Aoun that they are waiting for an answer: Will Jawad Adra commit to the policy of the “Consultative Gathering”? Will he attend their meetings?
