MP Ali Bazzi stressed that Speaker Nabih Berri has made sacrifices for the cabinet formation process, emphasizing that he did not and will not regret these sacrifices.
Following Wednesday’s deputies gathering, the MP stated that they do not seek to accuse any party of being responsible for the delay in formation, noting that the Lebanese people have the right to a new government.
Bazzi declared that the contacts are currently suspended.
Responding to the remarks of President Michel Aoun launched from Bkerke, MP Bazzi said that the Constitution clearly stipulates the procedure of forming a new government.
The deputy also cited Speaker Berri as saying that there will be no solution other than a civil state, stressing that all the disasters facing Lebanon are caused by sectarianism.
He added that the first duty of the parliament after the formation of the cabinet is exerting pressure to implement more than 39 laws.
