Mashnouq: Nine terrorist operations were thwarted this year

Caretaker Minister of Interior Nouhad Machnouq asserted on Friday that the Internal Security Forces managed to preserve the country’s security for the fourth year in a row.

Machnouq’s comments were made following his visit to the ISF General Directorate whereby he said that the country is “one of the safest capitals and countries.”

“Nine terrorist operations were thwarted this year due to the efforts deployed by the ISF,” he added.

For his part, General Security head Major General Abbas Ibrahim asserted following a meeting with Mashnouq that “working alone leads to failure while the collective work leads to success.”
