Two weeks separate Lebanon from the Arab Economic and Social Development summit expected to be held by the Arab League in Beirut on the 19th and 20th of January.
This may not be the first summit to be hosted by Beirut, but the current local and regional conditions have turned it into an exceptional event.
Until today, 11 states out of 22 member states confirmed their attendance, while not one has refused so far.
Regarding the level of representation, which Lebanon seeks to be on leadership level, there has been no official confirmation in this regards, with the exception of Kuwaiti Emir.
