Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour issued a statement on July 22, denying that Jessica Ghawi is of Lebanese national.

Jessica Ghawi Redfield, an American citizen from Lebanese origins, wrote in her blog about surviving Toronto mall shooting in early June.

However, when a killer opened fire in a Colorado movie theater, she was not so lucky. Ghawi, who was a sports blogger, was one of the 12 people killed in a mass shooting inside an Aurora Movie Theater on Friday during the premier of Batman film.

Several injured from the shooting are still receiving the necessary treatment.

While the investigations are ongoing to reveal the circumstances of the incident, few reports emerged stating that the shooter, James Eagan Holmes, is suffering from mental health issues.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation said that Holmes’ record does not show any signs linking him to terrorism.

Mashable.com described James Holmes as “internet ghost”, since he does not appear on social network websites such as Facebook or Twitter.
