Saudi king calls for collecting donations for Syrian people
Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz called for an extraordinary meeting for the Muslim Solidarity Conference on August 15 in Mecca.      

On a separate note, the Saudi king ordered that a national campaign be launched on Monday to collect donations for “our brothers in Syria”.

Donations will be garnered across different Saudi regions, the Saudi interior ministry said in a statement.
