“Consultative Gathering” regretted the stalling that has been delaying the issue of the cabinet formation, noting that this situation is caused by the refusal of Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri to recognize the parliamentary elections’ results.
In this regard, MP Jihad al-Samad reiterated that the gathering is holding on to their representation in the cabinet, stressing that the minister that will represent the Consultative Gathering in the cabinet must exclusively represent them.
They also called on the Constitutional Council to issue the decisions regarding the appeals presented against the results of the parliamentary elections.
MP al-Samad expressed their regret over the absence of presidents, kings and Syria from the Arab economic summit held in Beirut last Sunday.
He called on the Lebanese authorities to cooperate with the Syrian government in order to ensure the return of the refugees.
