Plumbly to Mikati: UNSC concerned over Lebanese-Syrian borders condition
U.N. Special Coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumbly told PM Najib Mikati on Tuesday that the Security Council members are concerned over security incidents occurring on the Syrian-Lebanese borders in the North and the Bekaa.

In a visit to Mikati at the Grand Serail, Plumbly renewed the Security Council's commitment to Lebanon's sovereignty and stability, hoping that the national dialogue that would take place in August would help solve pending local issues.

Plumbly also stressed the UNSC’s commitment to support the Lebanese government in its humanitarian obligations towards the displaced Syrians flocking to Lebanon.
