Prime Minister Saad Hariri declared that “it is his duty to apologize to all the Lebanese people for this delay,” stressing the time of “treatment with painkillers has ended and all the problems and causes of waste and corruption have become known.”
“We stand before several service, economic and financial challenges, not to mention the Israeli threats,” he said, noting that he is depending on the cooperation of all the parties.
The PM emphasized that cooperation is a requirement to be able to deal with the challenges to overcome the current situation, noting that the solution lies in the implementation of bold reforms.
He announced that a cabinet session will be held on Saturday at noon to draft the policy statement.
