Patriarch Rai hails Aoun’s stance at Cabinet
Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai stressed on Friday that President Michel Aoun is the protector of the Constitution and the protector of the Lebanese people.
“President Aoun’s stance during the last Cabinet session was honorable,” Rai said after meeting with Aoun at the Baabda Palace.
“If we want to wait for a political solution for the Syrian crisis to guarantee the return of refugees to their country, then the same thing will happen to us as happened with the Palestinian refugees issue,” Rai stressed.
