Ahmad is 24 years of age and has faced torment for 24 years of his life.
He lived in an attic inside his parents’ house for most of his days, during his parents’ absence from the house. He lived in darkness and injustice, for no light has reached the attic for several years.
Since his birth, his mother abandoned him and never asked about him after her divorce, only because he is with special needs. His father is the one who put him in the attic, so he can live with his second wife.
An eye witness from the town of Ansar in Nabatieh, where they lived, described the agony faced by Ahmad from his father, his step mother and his mother.
