Minister of Health meets World Bank delegation

Minister of Health Jamil Jabak met on Monday with a World Bank delegation presided by the Regional Director of the Mashrek region Saroj Kumar.

Talks reportedly featured high over the deteriorating health of a large number of Lebanese people, the state of governmental hospitals and their urgent need for rehabilitation and renovation.

Jabak called for a financial support and the need to increasing it in order to support the governmental hospitals in terms of equipping and modernizing them in different Lebanese regions, as well as supporting the financing of hospital and medical bills.

For his part, Kumar stressed the need of the right investment in order to accelerate the launching of joint projects or the ones supported by the World Bank, stressing that it is necessary to put all issues on the right track through plans and studies.
