Mufti Darian condemns New Zealand attack
Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Abdel Latif Darian condemned on Friday “the criminal attack” on mosques in New Zealand during Friday’s prayers, describing it as “a terrorist attack against Islam and Muslims in the world.”

In a statement, Mufti Darian stressed that attack on the mosque and the killing of worshipers in New Zealand is “a serious violation of the sanctity of the mosque and a blatant attack on the freedom of religion that Westerners rave about.”

At least one gunman killed 40 people and wounded more than 20 during Friday prayers at two New Zealand mosques in the country's worst ever mass shooting.
