Higher Defense Council convenes at Baabda Palace

A meeting for the Higher Defense Council was held on Monday at the Baabda Presidential Palace at the behest of President Michel Aoun.

The meeting was attended by President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri, a number of ministers and heads of military and security apparatuses.

The Council tackled the security situation in the country, the smuggling of people and goods into the land borders, and the unauthorized labor force.
