PM Hariri says Lebanon seeks to sign several agreements with Saudi Arabia in the future

Prime Minister Saad Hariri stressed Wednesday that Saudi Arabia has a real intention to deepen the relations with Lebanon, emphasizing that the kingdom has always been the first to express constant interest in Lebanon’s issues.

Addressing Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Hariri said that this visit to Lebanon comes within the framework of the special relations connecting Saudi Arabia to Lebanon for years.

During a seminar on humanitarian action held at the Four Seasons Hotel, he noted that Lebanon recognizes the Saudi keenness on protecting it from wars raging in many states.

“The Saudi aid provided during the July war of 2006 allowed the Lebanese people affected by the war to return to their homes,” Hariri stated.

The prime minister added that Lebanon seeks to sign several agreements with the kingdom in the future, stressing that the Saudi decision to lift the travel ban off to Lebanon contributed to the increase of the number of visitors.
