MP Sukkarieh to LBCI: Protests held by retired servicemen were a required action

MP Walid Sukkarieh asserted on Thursday that the protests held by the retired servicemen were a required action, adding that the leaked Budget included cuts in the salaries and pensions of the retired military.

Sukkarieh’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that the budget leaked to the media was behind the held protests.

He also called for a comprehensive solution for the economic policy, considering that that the job classification in state’s institutions needs to be restructured.
