Cabinet revokes exemptions for MPs, ministers

A Cabinet session was held on Thursday to discuss the 2019 draft state budget.

Following the session, Minister of Information Jamal al-Jarrah said that it was agreed to revoke custom and registration exemptions for cars owned by MPs and ministers and to impose fees on car plates with special numbers.

He also added that the custom exemptions were also revoked for some people, except the people with special needs.

On another note, the minister said that a new session will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
