As Lebanon works on boosting the religious tourism, the Saints Road project between Jbeil and Batroun is considered a vital artery for the sector. But this project has been facing the obstacle of bad public management.
The Saints Road project was approved in the 2017 budget with a cost of LBP 20 billion, but in the 2018 budget, the cost was raised to LBP 30 billion and estimating its implementation to end by 2020.
