Families of the military martyrs, retired officers and military personnel staged Friday a sit-in in Riad al-Solh Square, where they set up a tent at 8 am.
A retired general denounced any measure related to the rights of the martyrs, stressing that they will continue in their movements, since some of their rights are being robbed, in reference to the state budget draft law, currently under discussion by the cabinet.
Fears that the budget will include wage or pension cuts have sparked protests by public sector workers and retired soldiers.
