Citizen robbed by force of arms, two arrested for drug possession

Security Forces arrested on Wednesday a 25-year-old Palestinian national while walking in Ramleh Bayda for not holding any identification papers and for carrying three drug bottles.

In this context, investigations unit of Beirut’s police also arrested a Lebanese citizen in Gemayzeh for drug possession. He was transferred to drug control office for interrogation to reveal the side providing him with drugs.

On the other hand, an unknown individual on board a navy motorcycle intercepted the citizen Youssef Mohammad al-Attar in the Gallery Semaan locality pretending to be a security personnel.

After asking for his ID, the robber threatened him with a gun and stole his wallet containing identification documents and 120 USD. The thief escaped to an unknown direction, and the victim was not able to identify him due to dim light prevalent at the time of the incident.
