Speaker Nabih Berri stressed that a fair representation will be guarantees, stressing that they will not be dragged into a sectarian electoral law once again, but a law based on proportional representation will be the just way to represent all the factions of the Lebanese people.
On the budget issue, Berri noted that “no reduction will touch the salaries of the public sector employees,” adding that they will not sacrifice today achievements made in the past years.
The speaker’s remarks came during the inauguration of the university medical center at al-Zahraa Hospital.
Concerning the border demarcation, Berri pointed out that the political priority remains to demarcate the maritime border and to remove all Israeli violations and piracy.
On the regional, he said that “holding the Bahrain conference is an attempt to shift our attention and to bribe us from our pockets to turn a blind eye on the deal of the century and the US decisions.”
