Merhebe hints at forming self-defense force to protect Akkar
Future bloc MP Mouin Merhebe denounced on Saturday the renewed shelling of Akkar’s Akroum by “the armed militia”.   

Merhebe asked the Lebanese “Assad cabinet” on the reason behind withdrawing the LAF from tension-hit areas, in reference to the recent dispute between Akroum and the Jaafar family.     

Merhebi suggested that “Akkar’s residents form a self-defense force to protect ourselves after the cabinet and officials renounced their obligations and duties”.
