Speaker Nabih Berri followed up on the repercussions of the events that took place on Sunday evening in Aley and their impact on the general situation in country. He also held contacts with the concerned parties in order to contain the situation.
He called on the judiciary to investigate the circumstances of the incident until the truth is revealed.
Earlier in the day, Berri had welcomed in Ain al-Tineh the charge d’Affaires of the Kazakh Embassy in Lebanon, who briefed the speaker in the measures taken by his country’s government to contain the situation after the recent events that targeted a number of Lebanese and Arab nationals, expressing his country’s keenness on preserving strong relations with Lebanon and the Arab states.
