Jumblatt slams Bassil “juvenile acts”, urges him to “calm down”
Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt asserted on Wednesday that his party will confront calmly and openly, adding that it will hold dialogue with all parties to consolidate civil peace, reconciliation and security.

Jumblatt’s comments were made after a meeting for the Druze confessional council whereby he stressed that “the useless provocative rhetoric led to yesterday’s explosion.”

On another note, he saluted the Lebanese Armed Forces and its role.
“We are under the law but the way of raiding are sometimes inappropriate towards our community,” he added.
Jumblatt urged President Michel Aoun to put an end for Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil’s “juvenile acts.”

He also called on Bassil to “calm down,” adding that “this is not the right way to reach his goal.

Jumblatt concluded by saying that he will meet with Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Lebanese General Security chief Major General Abbas Ibrahim.
