A delegation from the Progressive Socialist Party, including Minister Akram Chehayeb, MPs Neemeh Tohmeh and Hady Abou al-Hassan, as well as Secretary Zafer Nasser, visited Maarab and Bkerke on Saturday.
Chehayeb said that the visit to Maarab comes within a normal framework of remaining in constant contact with the partners in reconciliation.
He also tackled the governmental situation, ruling out the possibility of a governmental paralysis, noting that all the parties are keen on activating the cabinet’s role amid the difficult economic and financial situation facing the country.
Commenting on the issue of the appointments, he said that they are waiting for the cabinet to convene.
From Bkerke, Chehayeb stressed that the PSP is under the ceiling of the law, noting that they only objected the tense rhetoric.
