Geagea: Bassil obstructing cabinet sessions for narrow interests unacceptable

Lebanese Forces party leader Samir Geagea said on Sunday that the suspension of Cabinet session for the next few days is a crime against the country.

Geagea’s comments were made during an interview with Radio Free Lebanon whereby he stressed that the country needs intensive meetings, adding that is “unacceptable for Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil to obstruct the Cabinet for narrow interests.

He also noted that efforts are being save the country’s economy, adding however that tensed rhetoric led to Aley incident.

“We should wait the result of investigations into Aley incident without launching any prejudices,” he added.
