Airport road reopened in both directions

Lebanon's airport traffic returned to normal after the main road was reopened on Thursday in both directions.

The airport road was blocked Wednesday by relatives of the 11 Lebanese abductees held in Syria.

In this context, Air France announced that the Paris-Beirut flight that was diverted to Cyprus on Wednesday night due to the deteriorating security situation in Lebanon will resume its flight to Beirut Thursday afternoon. The company added that the daily flights to the Lebanese capital will resume their normal course.

Meanwhile, the Masnaa- Rashaya road is blocked by residents from Majdal Anjar in protest of cutting the airport road. The protesters set up 3 tents but allowed commuters to pass every once in a while.
