Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed on Friday that his party supports calling on the cabinet to convene as soon as possible to discuss the Qabrchmoun incident.
On the commemoration of the establishment of Jihad al-Bina Association, Nasrallah said that whoever lies and says that Hezbollah is ruling Lebanon is only inciting against the nation on the international level, adding that if Hezbollah was truly controlling the judiciary, then the Qabrchmoun case would have been referred to the Judicial Council since day one.
In the same context, Nasrallah said that the head of the Lebanese Democratic Party MP Talal Erslan called for referring the case to the Judicial Council and did not ask Hezbollah and it is not his duty to do so.
On another note, Nasrallah denied Israeli claims stating that Hezbollah has been using the port of Beirut to move weapons into Lebanon.
Concerning the Labor Law and the Palestinian labor force, the secretary general called for addressing the issue on a humanitarian and ethical basis, noting that “there is a huge difference between the Palestinian worker and any other worker, because the Palestinian does not have a country to return to.”
He stressed the need to separate between granting the Palestinian worker the right to work and resettlement, calling for dealing with the issue calmly by the government.
During his speech, the Shiite party chief tackled the agricultural sector in Lebanon revealing that there is no governmental policy to strengthen the sector, noting that the issue does not lie in the agriculture minister of ministry but for the lack of support.
He also noted that the residents of Beirut’s southern suburb have not had drinking water since many years, stating that they buy water by tanks.
