Day after day, it becomes more apparent that canceling Mashrou’s Leila concert from Byblos festivals’ lineup is nothing but an episode in the series of oppression in Lebanon.
In this regard, reports emerged stating that a restaurant in Bint Jbeil decided to hold a comedy night and signed a contract with a well-known Lebanese comedy group, but due to the interference of political and religious officials, the restaurant was forced to cancel the show, under the pretext of violating ethics, values and morals. Therefore the restaurant was also forced to pay a penalty fine to the band.
However, the restaurant’s owner denied any interference from any party.
