A group of people with special needs with their families in North Lebanon have cut off the road leading to the Municipality of al-Mina on the seaside highway, and set up a tent in the middle of the road, with the participation of a delegation from the Labor Union in the north, including former MP Mesbah al-Ahdab, to protest the removal of their kiosks along the Corniche and the Municipality’s failure to fulfill its promises to hire them, the state-run National News Agency reported on Thursday.
The sit-in caused a heavy traffic jam in the area, as protesters gathered raising slogans demanding their rights and protesting the establishment of a landfill.
