Salameh: Jammal Trust Bank’s legitimate deposits are secured
Banque Du Liban Governor Riyad Salameh said on Friday that the BDL is closely following up on the Lebanese Jammal Trust Bank’s issue after being sanctioned by the US Treasury.
Salameh asserted in an interview with Arab Economic News website that all “legitimate deposits of the bank are secured at the time of their maturities in order to preserve the interests of the bank's customers.
He also noted that liquidity is provided “to meet the requirements of the bank's legitimate depositors.”
Earlier, The US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned today Lebanon-based Jammal Trust Bank SAL (Jammal Trust) and put it on its terrorism list.
